As a member of the Franchise, Licensing & Distribution practice group, Cassandra provides legal support to emerging and established franchisors in all aspects of developing and operating a franchise system. In addition to preparing franchise agreements and disclosure documents, Cassandra works with management to develop solutions to such issues as disclosure obligations, franchisee disputes, systemwide modifications, leasing negotiations, expansion and growth plans and exit strategies.   

Within the Corporate & Commercial practice group, Cassandra’s primary focus is on mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, complex restructuring, and negotiating commercial contracts.

Cassandra’s Commercial Leasing practice involves acting for both landlords and tenants in various types and stages of leasing transactions. She has acted for a wide range of clients, including universities, restaurant and retail chains, distributors, manufacturers, and developers, both on the landlord and tenant side. Cassandra regularly negotiates lease and related lease documents for single and mixed-use developments, office, retail, industrial, and warehouse properties. In addition, she provides advice on leasing related issues in the context of the acquisition or disposition of a business and/or real estate portfolio, defaults, relief from forfeiture, terminations, and rent abatement and deferral.
