Catherine E. Hynes-Doherty TEL (416) 369-7843 Catherine Hynes-Doherty joined Dale & Lessmann LLP as an articling student in 2008. Raised in Saint John, New Brunswick, Catherine obtained a Bachelor of Science with Honours from Saint Francis Xavier University where she was awarded the J.P. McCarthy Scholarship for outstanding scholastic achievement and leadership ability, and was also on the Dean's List. After completing her undergraduate degree Catherine worked for a major national bank in Toronto as an Assistant Financial Services Manager. For the past two summers Catherine returned to the same corporation working as a Coordinator in the Customer Event Management and Governance group within the Personal & Commercial Products department. Catherine graduated from Queen's University Faculty of Law in 2008. Fluent in French, Catherine participated as the French oralist on the Queen's Law Laskin Competitive Moot team. While at Queen's Catherine also volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada, acting as an upper year supervisor for a number of group projects. She was also an executive member of the Women & Law Association and the Health Law & Policy Association, and acted as an Upper Year Buddy, mentoring first year students. An avid athlete, Catherine was a member of the Queen's Law competitive intramural volleyball team, has played co-ed beach and indoor volleyball in Toronto for a number of years and has completed the Mississauga Marathon. |
