Nikolas is a partner with a focus on corporate and commercial law, commercial leasing, and franchise law.
Nikolas is a transactional lawyer and practices in the areas of corporate and commercial law, mergers and acquisitions, franchise law, and leasing law across a wide variety of sectors including retail, restaurant chains, and personal care services.
Nikolas joined the firm as an associate in 2022 and was admitted to the Ontario bar (Law Society of Ontario) in 2017.
As a member of the Franchise, Licensing & Distribution practice group, Nikolas advises franchisors of all sizes on the development, operation, expansion, and protection of franchise systems. He regularly drafts and reviews franchise disclosure documents, franchise agreements, leases and subleases, and asset and share purchase agreements. In addition, he provides advice on the purchase and sale of businesses, franchised or otherwise, and on the organization and governance of corporations.
Outside of work, Nikolas also mentors law students through the University of Toronto’s Rotman Onboard Fellowship Program, whereby students are placed with a not-for-profit and undertake a major governance project.
